"Have you ever wondered what the eternal God was doing before the foundation of the world? Before humanity appeared on the scene, what was God doing? Where did the Ancient of Days dwell and what did the Holy One think upon? It's unimaginable, isn't it? In order to walk in ardent, fervent love we must first start the discovery process of the One for whom our souls long and are made. The quality of our spiritual lives will depend on this search and what we find there. God made us for Himself and the highest form of joy is to experience God's revelation upon our hearts. This is the most superior pleasure available to the human experience to have God reveal God to the human heart. Is dealing with sin the sole basis of His interaction with us? If there were not enemies of our soul, what would our relationship with God look like? Before our complete and entire sanctification, can God enjoy us? This series will explore the playful nature of God God's delightful, emotional interaction with His creatures as they grow in grace. John Piper in "Desiring God" states, "Love delights to cause and contemplate joy in others." Beyond duty is a place called fascination."
